I have always made paintings. They are like therapy and if I stop doing it I feel miserable. In my painting there is always a love of colour and mark making. They are about the quality of surface as well as the subject.
There are many different applications of print to multiple surfaces and printmaking is endlessly fascinating.
At Falmouth I made a series of prints relating to the plants and trees in the forest.
As a printmaker I am interested in the cross over of print into different media such as painting and photography.
I recently completed a masters degree in Authorial Practice at Falmouth University. I regard my work as visual narrative. My pictures tell stories which come from many sources, folklore, fairy tales, nature and imagination.
